As we flip the calendar over and move into 2013, we thought this would be a great time to look back at our 2012 Best Branding Tips, here on The Branding Spot blog. 2012 was a year of twists and turns and ups and downs, just like any other, but we’re proud to review our 45+ blog posts from 2012 and pull out a list of our personal favorites along with some of our most popular posts.

Is your brand Out of Shape, Slightly Flabby, or In Great Shape? We enjoyed getting everyone excited about buffing up their company brands with A Brand Identity Manager – Your Brand’s Personal Trainer. Then, we helped a whole bunch of business owners find out if their brand was fit or flabby in 2012 when we introduced our popular BMI (that’s BRAND Mass Index) Analysis Report.

We showed our readers how to stand out from the crowd with Stop Branding Yourself Like a Chameleon, and warned about the dangers of (dun-dun-dun) Brand Genericide: When Brand Names Become Commonplace.

Have you jumped at the latest marketing trend? It’s called Content Marketing, which we first introduced at the end of 2011, so that our readers were on track with Better Branding—Content Marketing for 2012.
